Been having fun with Aalto again. It sure is a versatile synthesizer!

Check out a video i put together of a live improv Jam on Aalto. It's kind of techno based but it was fun.

Some things I would LOVE to see in Aalto.

  • A Pattern storage bank that saves patterns with sequencer tempos and a knob to cycle through a bank with a modulation input.

If you need an idea for a good patch bank storage idea check out Propellerheads Matrix. http://www.reason101.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/48-01-matrix-track-build1.jpg

  • an option to turn on tempo Sync on the LFO Freq knob and some kind of snap function for the repeat knob on ENV2 so it could snap to different tempo values.

  • a wave form selection switch on the LFO that lets you choose from Sine, Saw, Tri. I think it would be even better if you turned it into a morphable LFO that lets you cycle through the waveform. This way someone could modulate the morph knob for all kinds of awesome sounds.

I was playing around with Fxpansion DCAM Synthsquads Fusor, and was loading 3 instances of strobe in it. Then it ocurred to me, that if Aalto had something like this, it would be perfect!

I was thinking the chainer program could have built in expansion LFO's or modules that you could load as you needed. All of the LFOs or modules that you applied could then be synced to the patch that you are working on. Then for the sounds you could load instances of Aalto inside the wrapper and it would use them all together as one synthesizer.

It would probably be a huge undertaking no doubt but i would happily pay again for something like this. It could easily pave the way to a bigger version of Aalto in the future.

Anyone else think about something like this?

Would it be something you would want?

I love the Delay in Aalto, I want to be able to have Audio Input so i can run stuff through this, and the filter etc etc

You would have no idea how happy that would make me!

Cheers! Im also looking forward to any "Bigger" versions you may make ;)
