Here's an actual question though, what are the limitations on the demo? I tried it out for like a minute and I heard some noise in the first few seconds and "your patch data won't be saved". How often is the noise generated?

I think the demo noise is every minute. As you determined, you can't save patches. Other than that it's just like the full version.
