ForumsSoftware ← AALTO - Asterix next to preset name disappeared when altering sound parameter

Hi Randy,

I'm on:
Win 7 PRO
VST 64bit
Aalto 1.6.1 (but the problem was also present in 1.6)

Description:
In Aalto 1.5, there was an asterix (*) next to the preset name when you altered any parameter, indicating that this was not a saved preset. This was SUPER HANDY!
Now that asterix seemed to have disappeard. Would you consider bringing this functionality back into Aalto?

Thanks for all your work,
a happy user,

Plockroy

I am pretty sure that I never added such a feature! It could be a feature of your DAW. It's certainly not a bad idea though.

Really???
That's odd.

It was indeed a super handy feature. The Asterix came next to the preset name, inside Aalto (not in Cubase's presets management). when a parameter was changed. That way, if you were doing other things in your DAW, and you came back to your AALTO track, you could instantly see if the current sound coming out of AALTO was a saved preset, or not. And more importantly, you could know if you still had to save the current sound as a preset or not.

Any Cubase users out here who experienced the same thing?

I know just what you mean but I am sure Aalto has never done this. Possibly Cubase did it somewhere.
